The first test of the World led to the Riviera a victory, a desired outcome and conquered but immediately after this was followed by the disappointment of the race which appears no less unfortunate, and ends with the disruption of the gennaker a few meters from the finish.

First test

Departure of the world TP52 at 12.30 from the waters of Mahon. The wind coming from the south southwest – reaching almost 11 knots. Azzurra part very well and takes the lead, lose some positions close to the boa, this happened because of the wind which favoured instead opponents outsider Gladiator andPaprec, a passage that then leaves space to the strategy fielded by Azzurra aided by excellent downwind. So Riviera has been able to regain command stretching to the final.

Second test

In this second round the wind was at 16 knots and saliva up to 18 during the regatta. And it was very unfortunate for the blue, although the departure on this second occasion, was just as good than the first, but then more on the gears. Sled, the latter has entered the Windward from under lay line leading to Riviera head to wind and that made you lose several positions.

Subsequently Sled has been sanctioned through a double penalty and at that point he tried valiantly to recover positions Blue.

Unfortunately, the wind did not play in favor of this challenge with its 18 knots, and calculating the speed in planing of TP52, in essence it is unfolded a scenario like it couldn't create a recovery, Azzurra then terminated in 10a position closing the challenge at 4o place.
