The rebirth of Gometra, from Norway to Italy

È a larger boat popular with fans, of great historical value and symbolic, that like many other really didn't deserve to not go back to being what it was, to shine with the same beauty of yesteryear.

We are talking about the Gometra, the wonderful boat that took part in the classic boat rally held in Viareggio in October 2016.

Its enormous value you should not only that, but the various businesses of the past, including, of course, that completed during the World War II in Norway, While Gold's threat hung over the Adolf Hitler.

For the occasion, Gometra was perfected and became a veritable war machine, capable of flipping it back afloat if sunk and continue by sea without ever suffer fatigue of any kind.
With its experienced crew reached Canada, following a total discretion a road which was not taken by other boats, and brought to safety the Norwegian gold ad Halifax.

But it wasn't just the Norway who scored his remarkable story, becauseé Gometra can boast of being passed by more experienced hands to the more inexperienced, but certainly having crossed practically the whole world. The had the United States, not to mention after the Mexico, and after a thousand vicissitudes finally were able to get the Europeans, specifically the French. And so it was that nine years ago, was the 2008, the boat was spotted by Matthew Rossi, the President of the Italian Association note Vele D'epoca, who chose to revive by a team of carpenters headed by Giovanni Ambrosetti.

For Gometra the events were not yet over: in 2015 disappeared Giovanni Ambrosetti and, after a short period of time, the work was continued and completed by his son, who had decided to follow in the footsteps of the parent. And it is from here that the Manager as we know it today, one that will contribute to the Classic Boat Awards 2017. A wonderful story, worthy of this spectacular boat.
