The current owner acquired GAIA in Genoa in 2008 (covered winter storage, largely dismantled), after which she was extensively rebuilt in Italy between 2008 and 2010: new engines and generators, new systems, and completely redesigned interiors (design: Arch. Navale Alessio Luini, fit-out by German carpenters). RINAApproved in 2010, then registered in Vienna.
