"I bought this boat in 1988; its speed and performance won me over immediately!
The boat was built in 1978 for skipper MARSAUDON, with whom I had the chance to sail in the "Course au large" during the double-handed transatlantic race from Lorient to Bermuda and back in 1983 aboard the trimaran Stalaven!
I bought this Jade 48 in 1988, as a bare hull, and spent two years working on it for a complete refit, including reinforcing the stringers on the bow, and then I built all the wooden joinery and interior fittings."
I'm passionate about regattas and offshore racing, and I've owned this superb aluminum sailboat for 36 years!
Today, it's a fast and comfortable boat
The boat is maintained regularly. "I'm very particular about boat maintenance; it's part of safety."é
It undergoes regular maintenance; this past April 2026, we gave it a spring makeover, including a refit, antifouling, various inspections and repairs, replacement of the anodes, sandblasting of the hull, and the application of four coats of zinc-based antifouling.
The boat is ready to sail; I do all the work on it myself—since I used to be a professional shipbuilder—except for the sandblasting, which was done in April 2026 by a company
As I've gotten older, I've made the difficult decision to part with it, and we're looking for a new owner
