Custom Sciarrelli passera used

Janèga is project number 90 by Trieste-based Carlo Sciarrelli, the classic hull design wizard who passed away in 2006. The boat, launched in 1990, celebrates its silver "wedding" anniversary in 2015. The construction is inspired by the Lošinj flounders and service lances of 18th-century sailing ships. At 7 meters long, she is made of mahogany planking, has an auric cutter rigging, no winch, hemp rigging, and holy wood chariots. The fourth in a series of sister boats, she fully respects the Spirit of Tradition, a recognition bestowed on her at one edition of the Barcolana Classic. Janèga sails in Trieste.
