The Princess Schooner is a vessel built with cross-planked mahogany and maple at the C.A.R.I.M.A. shipyard in Naples in 1979, based on a design by architect M. Simeone.
This 1979 schooner is built entirely of wood and features a truly remarkable construction. Constructed with cross-planked mahogany and maple, it measures 17.74 meters in length and 5.10 meters in beam, with a draft of 2.90 meters and a displacement of 23 tons. In 1982, she participated in a crewed round-the-world voyage.
In the following years, with a change of owners, she underwent improvements. Today, perfectly restored, she offers comfort and excellent performance both under sail and under motor. With her two 21-meter masts and a sail area of over 200 square meters, she achieves excellent sailing performance.
Powered by a 140 hp engine, the Princess Schooner reaches an average speed of 8–9 knots per hour.
