Description of the Amel Euros 41 sailboat
My Amel Euros 41 sailboat is equipped with silicone antifouling, which significantly improves speed and reduces fuel consumption. The hull was painted two years ago, ensuring optimal protection. The swim platform is ideal for fishing, diving, and easy access to the dinghy. This platform was custom-built two years ago at a cost of 4,700 euros.
The original cover is in perfect condition, rigid and without dents. The shrouds and other rigging components are also in perfect condition, with no changes to the original attachment points. I added additional hardware and replaced the lines this year, using 100 meters of new 8mm line.
The sails are in excellent condition: the reinforced genoa is two years old, the mainThe mainsail and mizzen are four years old, and the storm jib is in perfect condition. I also have a spinnaker and two other sails in good condition that I don’t use.
All the interior flooring was custom-replaced by a carpenter five years ago and is in perfect condition. I’ve done everything possible to preserve the boat’s original condition.
Electronics and Equipment
As for the electronics, my Amel Euros 41 is equipped with a Calypso ultrasonic wind measurement system that operates via Bluetooth, WiWireless and wired. I also replaced the water and bilge pumps.
The boat is equipped with a Raymarine Axiom chartplotter and a redundant CPN open-architecture chartplotter via a Raspberry Pi, featuring various navigation charts and battery sensors. It also has an integrated AIS and a Wi-Fi network.Internal Wi-Fi for the entire boat (modem).
A system ensures that everything runs on 220V12V power both ashore and at sea, with a Victron Multiplus 12V/300W/120A inverter/charger and a redundant Mastervolt charger for shore power. The solar panels were replaced last year.
The boat is also equipped with a radar, a depth sounder, a barometer, and a TV system that is complete but has not been installed since I started using the internet. LED lights are installed throughout the boat. Several covers allow the navigation area to be closed off.
I have 90 meters of chain purchased two years ago with a 25 kg Bruce anchor plus a spare 20 kg stainless steel grapnel.
