This date is that of 37th Edition of the Rolex Middle Sea Race, a big challenge where participants can and must give its best in conditions that often proved to be complex because of the sea and its condition in the second half of October, so the challenge is really compelling when viewed under this perspective.

The Rolex Middle Sea Race è organized by Royal Malta Yacht Club, and the scenario in which takes shape is really gorgeous, so much so that Ted Turner described him as the most beautiful race course of the world.

Friday, October 21 at 18 hours at the RMYC will be briefing and a feast for the competitors, while Saturday 22 October begins the Grand Harbour and AUT49 Vaquita along with the over one hundred boats registered for this event fall into six groups.

The Path

Basically we talk about clockwise circumnavigation of Sicily, a step will be made in the Strait of Messina, to continue toward the Aeolian Islands and – still – going to the volcano of Stromboli, at this point the direction is West going towards Egadi Islands, the transition at this point will occur between Trapani and Favignana. Still touching southwards Pantelleria and Lampedusa.

The last round is to Northeast leading to Comino Channel to get back to Marsamxett Harbour. The conclusion includes a ceremony Saturday 29 & Hall at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta.

Important event for fans of Sailboats this that is worth a visit and it certainly is very attended this year. So hurry and Malta in autumn is always beautiful, so even if you miss this date the city is worth visiting.
